Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using Roviqo. By creating an account or using the app you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Roviqo.
Roviqo is operated by Roviqo Ltd (company registration number [FILL IN]), a company registered in England and Wales with its registered office at [FILL IN — registered office address] ("Roviqo", "we", "us", "our").
Roviqo is a fitness coaching platform that connects personal trainers and strength coaches ("Coaches") with their clients ("Clients"). It also provides an AI coaching assistant named Rovi ("Rovi"). References to the "Platform" mean our mobile app, web portal, and all related services.
To use Roviqo you must:
The Platform is intended for use by physically healthy adults pursuing general fitness goals. It is not designed or suitable as a clinical, therapeutic, or medical service. See section 7.
You must register an account to use Roviqo. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to keep it up to date.
You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at Hello@roviqo.uk if you suspect unauthorised access.
Coaches are responsible for ensuring they hold appropriate qualifications, insurance, and any required registrations for the services they provide. Roviqo does not verify Coach qualifications and is not responsible for the fitness advice or services Coaches deliver.
Access to certain features requires a paid subscription. Roviqo has two distinct subscription types with separate payment processors — please read both paragraphs that apply to you.
Rovi AI coaching (in-app purchase)
The Rovi AI coaching subscription is purchased directly through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store using your device's in-app purchase system. Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your Rovi subscription at any time in your App Store or Google Play account settings — Roviqo cannot cancel it on your behalf.
A free trial is offered to new subscribers. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, the paid subscription will begin automatically. Trial availability and duration are as displayed in the app at the time of sign-up.
Human coach subscriptions (Stripe)
If your coach charges a monthly fee for their services, that subscription is billed separately via Stripe, Inc. through a web checkout. By subscribing you authorise the relevant charge to be made to the card you provide on a recurring monthly basis. You can cancel your coach subscription at any time by contacting your coach or us at Hello@roviqo.uk. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
All prices are stated in pounds sterling (GBP) and are inclusive of any applicable VAT unless otherwise stated. We will give at least 30 days' notice of any price change, which will not take effect mid-subscription period without your consent.
14-day cooling-off period (consumers). If you purchase a subscription online, you have the right to cancel within 14 days of purchase under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. Contact us at Hello@roviqo.uk to exercise this right. If you begin using the service before the 14-day period ends, your refund may be reduced pro-rata.
Rovi (in-app purchase) refunds are handled by Apple or Google in accordance with their respective refund policies. Roviqo has no ability to issue refunds for in-app purchases.
Coach subscription refunds are considered on a case-by-case basis. Contact us at Hello@roviqo.uk.
Rovi is an AI-powered coaching assistant that can generate training programmes, meal plans, and respond to messages. It is a general fitness guidance tool to support — not replace — the judgement of a qualified professional and your own common sense.
Rovi has real limitations:
Never follow Rovi's advice if it contradicts guidance from a qualified health professional, or if it causes you pain, discomfort, or concern. If in doubt, stop and seek professional advice.
We apply automated safeguards to redirect high-risk queries (eating disorders, medical conditions, mental health crises) to appropriate services. These are best-effort measures and do not make Rovi equivalent to professional clinical advice.
Roviqo Ltd expressly disclaims liability for any loss, injury, or harm arising from reliance on Rovi-generated content, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
General statement
Nothing on Roviqo — whether from a human Coach, Rovi, or any other feature — constitutes medical advice, clinical dietary advice, physiotherapy, or any other regulated health service. All content is general fitness information for healthy adults only.
Training
Exercise carries an inherent risk of injury. By using Roviqo you acknowledge you are physically capable of undertaking the activity you choose and that you take full responsibility for your safety. If you have a pre-existing medical condition, injury, or have been inactive for a prolonged period, consult your GP before starting any new training programme.
Nutrition and meal plans
Meal plans and nutritional guidance are general fitness nutrition information for healthy adults. They are not clinical dietary advice and are not provided by an HCPC-registered dietitian.
The following people must not use Roviqo's nutrition features as their primary dietary guidance and should consult their GP and a registered dietitian:
If you are experiencing an eating disorder or related crisis, contact Beat at beateatingdisorders.org.uk or on 0808 801 0677.
If you are in a mental health crisis, contact Samaritans on 116 123(free, 24/7) or attend your nearest A&E.
If you use Roviqo as a Coach, you agree that:
You may upload content including progress photographs, workout videos, and written notes ("User Content"). You retain ownership of your User Content.
By uploading User Content you grant Roviqo Ltd a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store and process that content solely to operate the Platform. We will never use your User Content for advertising without your explicit written consent.
Progress photos and set videos are stored in a private, access-controlled environment. Set videos are automatically deleted after 30 days. We will not share your media with anyone other than your Coach without your consent.
You must not use Roviqo to:
Roviqo Ltd processes personal data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. Our Privacy Policy sets out what data we collect, how we use it, how long we keep it, and your rights.
Health-related data — including body weight, photographs, energy scores, and physical information — is special category data under UK GDPR. We process it only to provide the services you have requested, with your explicit consent given by using the Platform.
Your Rovi chat messages and relevant profile data are transmitted to Anthropic's API to generate responses. Anthropic does not use this data to train its models under our API agreement.
To make a data subject access, correction, or deletion request, contact us at Hello@roviqo.uk.
All intellectual property rights in the Platform — software, design, brand, and Roviqo-created content — are owned by or licensed to Roviqo Ltd. Nothing in these Terms transfers any of those rights to you.
Training programmes and meal plans created by human Coaches belong to those Coaches, who licence them to their Clients for personal use only.
We do not exclude liability where it would be unlawful, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Subject to the above, and to the fullest extent permitted by law:
Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under UK law.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will give you at least 30 days' notice of any material change by notification within the app or by email. Continued use after the notice period constitutes acceptance. If you do not accept the changes, you may close your account before they take effect.
You may close your account at any time from your account settings or by contacting us.
We may suspend or terminate your account immediately for material breach of these Terms. For minor or first breaches we will ordinarily give notice and a reasonable opportunity to remedy before acting.
These Terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the law of England and Wales. You and we both submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. If you are a consumer you may also bring proceedings in the courts of the country where you are domiciled.
Before bringing a formal claim, please contact us at Hello@roviqo.uk — most issues can be resolved without legal proceedings.
